The way we communicate has changed drastically not only as a consequence from quarantining during Covid but mostly from the development of smartphones. We are struggling to communicate in a method that leads to the type of deep connection that encourages strong workplace relationships and broadens our ability to care for those in our personal life. We're spending more time setting meetings and managing our calendars than being authentic with showing how important we are to one another.
This side of my business hits a special spot for me because I spent 25 years in the corporate and small business environment and unfortunately, in most cases there was a disconnect between values, culture, and reality. The c-suite level thinks one thing while the stakeholders act out another. Starting with a fluid and consistent level of communication that leads to honest connection is a great method to maneuvering the many challenges organizations are facing. Individuals and teams function without communication and connection but I don't know a CEO who walks that doesn't want their team to excel and succeed versus function.
